Corporate Relocation & Stress

When relocating or moving in general, there is always stress involved. This is one of the most stressful times in life. After all, going through all of your belongings and your life (both physically and mentally) is a very emotional experience...not to mention the fact that you will be leaving behind a part of what you have come to know as normal and routine.

Take advantage of every bit of assistance available. In most cases, when there is a corporate relocation the new hiring company will be assuming all responsibility for the expenses of the moving van and the household movers. Ask if they will also pay for a cleaning service to come in and clean your home after you pack. That will be one less thing for you to worry with.

Most Corporations will have assistance available to help you find suitable housing, schools, church, shopping, and all other needs upon your arrival at your new home. They will also be happy to provide temporary housing if needed.

Find out ahead of time what arrangements have been made with the household movers, as some moving firms routinely send teams of professional household movers that are ready to pack, load, and move an entire home full of belongings, and other household moving teams arrive expecting everything to already be packed. And of course, their job is to load and move the belongings.
